medias duet

" Those two are free like the breath that rides between the toms and the cymbals of Bruno Tocanne, like the wind that comes from the soprano saxophone, the back-pipe, the clarinets played by Catherine Delaunay. Both, percussion and wind instruments are focussing on melody with total freedom. No leadership here, those guys are sharing the space while they are carefully listening to each other without any limit of expression. For Catherine Delaunay and Bruno Tocanne, jazz and improvised music, today, represent the ideal field for a real strong musical experience nourished by a great variety of sources. That diversity is standing by itself and assure the richness of tone colours."
- Arnaud Merlin , JAZZMAN , and producer in france musiques (radio france)

"This duet was born after inviting in trio a lot of improvised musicians like Denis Badault, Serge Lazrevitch, Régis Huby, Alain Blesing…Melody and pulsations are suggested with a sensual pleasure. The song is even present on the wind instruments like on drums. A fresh and strange music..."
- Alex duthil, JAZZMAN

"More than a duet, it's here a real dialog, a dialog open to all possibilities. It's a music made of subtle humour… Great! It's full of swing and fun. Their complicity is pleasant to see... That's here democracy in music, that's jazz!"- LE JAZZ

"These improvisers have something more… A greedy way of swinging, a dynamic way of improvising, an art of using of all the expressive colours of music and to give a lot of emotions"
- LE PROGRES de lyon
