Un magnifique album, sensible, intense et jubilatoire
"Ce magnifique album est explicitement dédié à la Freedom now Suite de Max Roach et à Old and new dreams... Choix en ne peut plus stimulant.
Deux souffleurs et une batterie : trio san contrebasse. Formule rare. La grâce funambulesque et la magnificence du jeu de batterie de Bruno Tocanne, subtil et
prodigue, fait que l'on ne s'inquiète à aucun moment de l'absence de contrebasse. Ce trio est l'un des multiples rhizomes du foisonnant collectif "le réseau imuZZic".
Leur musique ne s'interdit rien : ni les mélodies les plus émouvantes, ni les rythmes formels, pas plusque les débordements les plus radicaux. Compositions
originales majoritaires, un thème de Dewey Redman (logique dans le cadre de c eprojet) et... "Secret Marriage" de Sting ! Comme tous les libertaires conséquents
et enracinés,ces trois improvisateurs savent rendre hommage de manière lumineuse et captivante à l'histoire et au présent des musiques qu'ils aiment et pratiquent
au plus haut niveau. Thèmes et improvisations sont à la fois denses et légers, précis et flottants, gais et profonds. La radicalité des propose ne nuit jamais à leur

Le trio s'inscrit dans la continuité du travail de création du réseau imuZZic, collectif de musiciens jazz et musiques improvisées qui multilplie les créations inter-disciplinaires mêlant jazz - musique improvisée et cinéma, vidéo, photo, danse, théâtre, poésie, slam, grafs... et dont sont issus, entre autres, le trio
résistances, le Libre Ensemble ou le Nachoff-Tocanne Project.

Besides an allusion to the Max Roach's album : " We insist! Freedom Now suite !" in 1960, it was the opportunity to pay a tribute to one of the jazz groups which
marked the jazz story and improvised musics in the seventies: "Old and New Dreams". We assert again here our wish to invent new dreams, new Utopias, without
which no creation, no collective projects are possible... The Bruno Tocanne "new dreams" trio registers in the continuity of the imuZZic network creations. This
musician's collective works on inter-disciplinary creations mixing jazz - improvised musics with cinema, video, dance, theatre... The Trio Resistances, the
Libre Ensemble or the Nachoff - Tocanne Project, among others, come from this collective. Within this trio, original as well as it's form : trumpet-sax-drums
- as how its way of playing together, the three musicains explore collectively a music wich refrains from nothing
