The
album "new dreams nOw !" / Bruno TOCANNE "new dreams" trio, released
on Cristal Records label in 2007, was the first of these "new dreams" : "A sensitive, intense and jubilant music" (JAZZ MAGAZINE). It is there this trio with Quinsin NACHOFF - "one of the canda's leading saxophone innovator" (TORONTO STAR) - and the french tumpet and tuba player's Frédéric
ROUDET.
Before
recording together Quinsin NACHOFF and Bruno TOCANNE met several
times on stage between Canada and France, with, among others, this
quintet. When the french label
Cristal Records gave "carte blanche" to Bruno TOCANNE for his
next album, the idea of a band with 4 wind instruments and a drummer was enthusiastically accepted by all, some bringing their
compositions or, as Quinsin, deciding to write specially several
pieces for this occasion.
