born in 1974 Benoît Keller quickly established himself as one of the most versatile young bass player on the french jazz scene.

He began his music studies at the IMFP (Musical Professional Institute) in Salon de Provence where he studied acoustic and electric bass with Michel Zénino, André Franco and Gildas Boclé.

In 1996 he joigned the jazz department of Chalon/Saône Academy of music, where he furthered his studies with Michel Martin, Jean-Louis Almosino, Pierre Tiboum Gugnon and Yves Rousseau, winning a gold medal for each discipline in 1998.

He performed around Bourgogne with a variety of groups including the Chalon-Bourgogne Big Band, the Will Menter Slate trio with Pierre Corbi and in duet with Nicolas Fargeix.

In recent years Benoît has worked with many of France's respected jazz musicians, such as Louis Sclavis, Jean-Marc Padovani, Antoine Hervé, Jeff Sicard, Charles Loos...

In addition to composing, playing and recording with the trio Résistances with Lionel Martin and Bruno Tocanne, he performs regulary with acclaimed accordion player Jacky Lignon, and played also with Catherine Delaunay, Grégory Tessier, Serge Lazarevitch, Denis Badault and works with the imuZZic collective...
