Playing several musical instruments, Mohamed Beldjoudi first learnt the art of percussions of North Africa, accompanying the different repertoires of popular musics from Maghreb.
He studied with the master percussionists in Algeria (Khalfa Family), but progressively grew away from tradition and opened his mind to the vast world of percussions.
His aesthetical choices made him go beyond the sacred part of his art and led him to meet many musicians, especially playing with French Jazz musicians.
A self-taught man, he studied the art of guitar playing, always keeping in mind rhythmical cycles, associating rhythm and tune, and constantly emphasizing on improvisation.
The world of modal music led him to study Indian music especially tablas (R. Lopez). Since then, his art has constantly been moving within the world of improvisation.
His music leads to a fine result. He mixes the creations from his own rich sounding world, and an open access to collective improvisation.
His generous art catalyses ideas. It never imposes peremptory points of view and prefers suggestion to assertion.
Alternately guitarist or percussion player, he played with several musicians; among those are Doudou N’Diaye Rose Jr, P. Laccarrière, O. Torres, B. Tocanne, P. Tiboum Guignon, C. Delaunay, H. El Becharia, C. Huet, C. Zekri, Loos Peter Van Bergen
He made several recordings with P Laccarière, C. Huet, O. Torres, C Zekri
